More About: GREGG CANNIZZARO:

Gregg Cannizzaro
Producer
Gregg Cannizzaro was born and raised in New York City's historic Little Italy.
The award-winning Film and Television Producer / Director started his career
at HBO in NYC, then relocated to Los Angeles to write and direct sketch comedy
for E! Network’s Emmy-award winning series, “Talk Soup”.
With an affinity for independent filmmaking, Cannizzaro started his own
production company, INDIE GEMS FILMS. His works have garnished him critical
acclaim; from Executive Producing Stephen King’s "Luckey Quarter", to
Directing the feature-length comedy “Get A Job”, winner of the Audience Award
at No Dance Film Festival, Park City, Utah (currently airing on the SHOWTIME
EXTREME Network). His latest feature film, “Hanging In Hedo” is due to be
released in spring, 2005.
Mr. Cannizzaro was influential in forming The San Gennaro Foundation, in which
he serves on the Executive Board as President. In addition, Cannizzaro is
President and Co-Founder of the Sons of Italy (OSIA) Hollywood Lodge. OSIA is
the oldest Italian-American organization in America, soon to be celebrating

Cannizzaro’s company INDIE GEMS FILMS, in association with Michelangelo
Productions, released it’s first documentary, “Prisoners Among Us”, narrated
by Tony LoBianco and featuring Tom Brokaw. This documentary chronicles the
plight of Italian-American immigrants labeled “enemy aliens” during WWII, and
recently received the Grand Jury Prize 2004 Best Documentary at The New York
International Independent Film Festival.
