Welcome

to my Home page

Welcome to the Robert Nagel web site! This web site is about my professional experience including the technological solutions I have created for some special projects, as well as contemporary issues about which I feel I have a slightly informed perspective. I have been fortunate to work with some very special people on the design of some exciting systems, and this site also brings their comments to you on a Quotations page.

You are probably here because you have been invited by myself or my colleagues. You are welcome to contribute your ideas to my Forum--my editorial page--or to Contact me directly.

I am known as an information scientist because the information systems that I have designed and implemented often have required the creation of new concepts and technologies. Many of these systems have withstood the test of time, attesting to their enduring design and exacting implementation.

The Systems page summarizes some special systems, to which I have contributed design and often implementation. The new ideas and technologies required for these systems have sometimes resulted in Patents.

Important components of this web site are described on a Site Map page, and the people who have contributed to the design of this site are listed on an About My Web Site page.

My professional experience is described along with Key Positions I have held in the field of information systems development.

A further word about my Forum. This is a place for you to exchange information and views with me. As individuals raise different topics, which I feel have a broad interest, I will post their questions or comments along with my views on this page. The Forum, therefore, is a vehicle through which we can get to know one another better.
