More About: PETER  RADFORD

Peter Radford is a writer and consultant on economics, business strategy, and development.  His general field of interest includes: the development of a modern ‘theory of the firm’, and the challenge presented to business by both the scope and the speed of technological and social change.   His current focus is on the need to incorporate a broader view of the linkages between society, technology and organizational change into the strategic thought processes of corporations.  These are the issues he discusses in his latest book is entitled “Economics and the Art of Balance”.

Mr. Radford is the founder of Digecon, an organization dedicated to understanding and consulting on the relationship between society and the economy.  He was previously Executive Director of a New York based non-profit organization focused on the social responsibility of business.  He is also the co-host of “To the Point” a live current affairs talk show shown on public access television in Manhattan.

He was formerly associated with National Westminster Bancorp, the North American subsidiary of NatWest PLC, one of the world's largest banks.  During his eleven years there he managed the strategic planning, financial, marketing, technology, and re-engineering functions of a major business unit; created and managed the corporate level internal consulting and strategic planning functions; and served as the bank's Chief Economist.  In this latter capacity he was a frequently quoted commentator and speaker on the economy.

Mr. Radford has a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School.
